The end of World War I saw Congress authorize 1,020 men for Marine Corps aviation and the establishment of permanent air stations at Quantico, Parris Island and San Diego. "

It was not until 3 May 1925 that the Marine Corps officially appeared in the Navy's Aeronautical Organization when Rear Admiral William A. Moffett, then Chief of the Navy's Bureau of Aeronautics, issued a directive officially authorizing three fighting squadrons.

The turning point for the long-term survival of Marine Air " On 7 December 1941, the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Marine Corps air units consisted of 13 flying squadrons and 230 aircraft.

World War II would see the Marine Corps' air arm expand rapidly and extensively. Because of the way the Pacific War unfolded, Marine Aviation was not able to achieve its 1939 mission of supporting the Fleet Marine Force at first. For the first two years of the war, the air arm spent most of its time protecting the fleet and land-based installations from attacks by enemy ships and aircraft.

This began to change after the Battle of Tarawa as the air support for ground troops flown by Navy pilots left much to be desired. After the battle, General Holland Smith recommended, "Marine aviators, thoroughly schooled in the principles of direct air support," should do the job.

During the course of the war, Marine Aviators were credited with shooting down 2,355 Japanese aircraft while losing 573 of their own aircraft in combat, they had 120 aces and earned 11 Medals of Honor. Also during this time, the Secretary of Defense for then President Harry S. Truman, Louis A. Johnson, attempted to eliminate Marine Corps aviation by transferring its air assets to other services, and even proposed to progressively eliminate the Marine Corps altogether in a series of budget cutbacks and decommissioning of forces

Good quantity
Color: A-shiny Brown
Perfect size for me. The different compartments makes it easier for organizing. Has a mild order but after turning it inside out and put it in the sun for a few minutes, problem solved.

It’s a YES from me!
Color: B-brown
I absolutely love this purse. And I’m so heartbroken because something got spilled inside of it and it affects the functionality of the person on the inside and it makes me so sad but I still use it anyway because there’s one side I can use completely and half a side I can use on the other side lol. It is very good quality. The storage is A+. It is definitely a good value for the price. I was skeptical at first as we all are ordering a purse off Amazon, that is not real leather, but it’s supposed to be good quality. It didn’t really have much of a smell. I actually don’t use the strap provided since I seen that the straps could be interchangeable, I used my strap off my previous purse instead, and now I love it love it! 😍 I get compliments on it all the time!

surprised me
I absolutely love this shoulder bag! The quality really surprised me and in a good way. The faux leather has such a smooth, polished look and feels soft but still very durable. It honestly gives that high-end vibe without the expensive price tag. The size is perfect for everyday use. It’s roomy enough to fit all my essentials like my phone, wallet, keys, and even some extra items like makeup, but it doesn’t feel bulky or oversized. I also really appreciate the inner pockets because they help keep everything organized instead of just throwing everything into one big space. Another thing I love is how practical it is. The material is water-resistant, which is a huge plus and if anything spills or it gets a little wet, it’s super easy to just wipe clean. It still looks brand new after using it regularly. The design is simple but very stylish, which makes it easy to pair with almost any outfit. I’ve worn it casually, out running errands, and even with more dressed-up looks, and it always works. It’s definitely one of those go-to bags you can grab every day. This bag is a great mix of style, functionality, and durability. I’m really impressed with it and would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a cute, everyday handbag!
