An instantly recognizable and ultra seductive Dolce & Gabbana sheer black stretch cotton-lace full length lingerie gown dating back to their coveted 1997 spring/summer collection. As pictured, Madonna wore a slip gown from the same collection when winning 'Best Actress' at the 1997 Golden Globe awards and she even wore a sheer over jacket in the same large scale floral patterned lace as our dress. I love how she paired the garment with lean, long black gloves. Dolce & Gabbana are considered the inventors of a Mediterranean style that draws its inspiration from women of Italian realism, sensual and austere like Anna Magnani, to whom they dedicated a collection whose key element was the 1940's slip. They are not looking for a retro look; Dolce & Gabbana turned to the past for innovation. The designers once stated, "We want to use the past to project it into the future". This sensual built-in bra lingerie slip gown is a wonderful example of their genius. The figure flattering large scale floral stretch cotton lace hugs the body perfectly. There is an inner lining so it appears as if you are naked. I adore the low-cut bow trimmed front plunge and thin bra-like straps. My favorite design element is the flirty cut-out backside. This is definitely the dress you will reach for anytime you want to get noticed.
